Well, I haven't received a raise in 2+ years, but I have been given some nice bonuses and today I received another one. My boss called to tell me he was giving me a $15,000 bonus for my work last year. Sounds good to me!
Last month, he sent me $1,000 so I used it to (finally!) buy the gold charm bracelet I've been wanting for years. With this new bonus money, I think I'll be semi-responsible: I'm going to purchase a 9-month food supply, pull some money for a cash reserve, and purchase new living room furniture. Oh, and put some in savings (boring!).
It sure is nice to have some fun money!!
