Monkey Man Lives On

Jocelyn just sent us this picture - I love that Walker STILL has his monkey suit on!! He has not taken it off since the days before Halloween. Hilarious!

Aunties' Babysitting Weekend

Well, we survived! Susan and I flew out to Vegas on Friday to take care of the boys while Allen and Jocelyn had a weekend away in Portland and it was a huge success! How do I know?? There was a lot of laughter and a lot of wrestling, tackling and pillow fights. And, there were no tears, no cries of "I want my mommy", and no use of the EPI pen!!! Success! We had a load of fun and I can't wait to do it again!

Walker was a monkey for Halloween and he didn't take his suit off the entire weekend! The only tie he agreed to take it off was when he went to bed. Pretty cute!

And big brother Sawyer was a red Power Ranger with mad fighting skills!

This is how Saturday morning started! Aunt Wacky buried under a mess of blankets and nephews!

I love the raise of the hands in victory!

Our first outing was to Red Rocks Casino, where we took the boys bowling. They LOVED it! Especially, Monkey Man!

The best part is that Sawyer legitimately won the game! His trick was to lean his head to whichever side of the lane he needed the ball to go. He did it every time, and I couldn't help but get the giggles. "Aunt Wacky, it really works!"

An evening bathtime - again no tears during hair washing!

On Sunday morning, Sawyer found these googles and never took them off. So we had the monkey suit and scuba googles....all day long! Keep in mind this is Vegas where it's 85 degrees! How he did this is beyond me, but he sure looked adorable!

We went to an outdoor science museum called Springs Preserve that I thought was terrific.

On Sunda afternoon, Sawyer and I made caramel apples. A perfect all activity.

Our last tackle fest in the park - Susan was a little worse for wear when all was said and done!

How great are these?? An eye-glass straw! Genius!
