My Garden's In!

Thank heavens for Gordon! After weeks of being on me about plantings, he and I finally went to Home Depot last night to pick out flowers for my garden. It was absolutely the last thing on my priority list - finish painting my bedroom, run errands for Primary, pack for three weeks in Seattle, pack for North Carolina vacation, do laundry, etc. - but he was a task master and it's now done and I love it!

I decided to go with a red and white theme this year, so I bought two red mandevillas, a white peony bush, red roses, red geraniums, and a bunch of white "filler" flowers.

In the back two corners, we also planted a bunch of herbs and vegetables, which I'm really excited about. I put in argula, mixed greens, zucchini, carrots, tomatoes, thyme, basil, parsley, chives, rosemary and cilantro. Here's hoping I'm home enough this summer to tend to the garden and partake of the "harvest"!

A New Bedroom!

I finally painted my bedroom and I love it! It's a deep gray and with my headboard, I think it looks great! Now, all I need is something to go above the bed and some new linens. Finally, a bedroom I like!

That's Amore!

This past weekend, Walker said "Goodbye!" to bottles and baby food and "Salute!" to table food. His first introduction: spaghetti! He looks quite pleased with his fork skills!
