Another year, another awesome week at OBX!
This year, we made the right decision and rented a house in the gated community of Buck Island. Why have we never done this before?!?! Buck Island is the BOMB! Awesome house, awesome neighborhood, 2 minute walk to the beach and a community pool and changing hut. All the amenities girls like us need! Loved every minute of beach week with Amber, April (back from Japan...yay!), Chappy, JJ, Susan, Lindsay and Paige.

This year, we did something we've never done in our 15+ years of OBX trips - we went on a wild horse tour on the sand dunes. At the northern most point of OBX, there are miles of sand dunes that can only be accessed via 4-wheel drives and that are home to about 100 wild horses. It was an awesome way to spend a sunset.

One minor snafu on our drive home. Jill drove Lindsay's Jeep home because Lindsay stayed down in OBX with her boyfriend, Colin, and she accidently locked the keys in the car as we were filing up with gas. Whoops.
An unbelievable blessing is that the gas station was right beside a car repair shop. Cannot believe someone was still there working at 7pm on a Saturday night, but this man saved our bacon!
A post-OBX must do: dinner at Rio to ease us back into reality!
