One of the most special and unique people I know celebrated her birthday this weekend, and I wanted to help her do it up in style. Well, Ya-Ya style, that is!Jill Chappell has a “thing” for dolphins – her blog is titled The Dolphin Show; her favorite animals are dolphins; and every year at OBX she “performs” her own rendition of a dolphin water show.
So, it only made sense to throw her a dolphin themed birthday party. The problem is that she turned 39 years old! How does one make a dolphin-themed birthday party for an adult? You don’t! Instead you embrace your inner 5-year old and have a grand time.
The first surprise feature was a silk-screen banner for the front door – nothing says “Welcome!” like a cheesy silk birthday banner! 
Inside my place, I had a dolphin piñata, which Jill beat the hell out of – inner frustrations, perhaps!?!?;

and my favorite, dolphin sippy cups. Hilarious!!! The pictures say it all...
Yikes! Is this what my cake will look like in 7 months!! It’s like watching her sit in front of a fire...Happy Birthday Chappy!!
