More than four years ago, I went to the San Francisco Alcatraz Sharkfest Swim to support my friend Rita Ogden, who was racing. I thought it was a terrific challenge and one that I wanted to undertake myself.
What better time to do this than before my 40th birthday next year??
I signed up for the swim last night and my registration money is in the mail. Now, comes the hard part....training in a lap pool to swim 1.5 miles in open water in under 75 minutes. I have nine months to make this happen.
The game is on!!
